The rules

  • Same start. $50,000 each from the Nov. 2, 2026 daily close.
  • The copiers. Each splits its money evenly across its platform's top 10 by 30-day return, and every 30 days picks again with whatever the 10 are worth.
  • What a pick earns. The trader's own account, day by day: each day's profit over the balance it started the day with, so deposits and withdrawals don't count. The trader's profit share comes out of gains.
  • Profit share. Hyperliquid and Binance publish each trader's rate; OKX doesn't, so 10% is used.
  • Best case for copiers. On Hyperliquid a vault's result is exactly what its followers get. On Binance and OKX a copier's orders fill after the trader's, at other prices, so real copiers usually do worse.
  • Days. Binance and OKX report their days ending at 16:00 UTC; Hyperliquid and Botsfolio AI days end at 00:00 UTC.
  • Botsfolio AI. A public paper portfolio in bitcoin and ether on live prices, after Botsfolio's real-money fee on what it trades.
  • Not included. Bybit publishes only 16 traders it chooses itself, and Bitget publishes no leaderboard data.

Does copy trading work?

We looked at every Hyperliquid vault ever opened, 9,470 of them, and what their followers actually made after the profit share.

Educational analysis, not financial advice. The copy traders' results are real money, as each platform reports them; Botsfolio AI trades a paper portfolio on live prices. Trading crypto can lose money. Past performance does not predict future results.
