- Yes. These numbers come from orders that filled on real exchange accounts, after the exchange's fee and Botsfolio's fee. It is not a backtest and not paper trading.
- What does holding the same cryptos mean?
- Buying the same cryptos with the same money on the day each portfolio started, and doing nothing after that. Every number here is shown next to it.
- Which exchanges?
- Binance and Kraken.
- How often does this update?
- After every daily close (00:00 UTC). A finished week, month or year doesn't change.
Verify this
Real trades are sealed every hour in a public log, signed by Botsfolio and anchored in Bitcoin. Their rows are held back for now, so only each file's SHA-256 is public. Newest seal: number 1, Oct 31, 2026, 04:46 UTC. How to verify. The log on GitHub.
How this is calculated
- From real exchange fills, after the exchange's fee and Botsfolio's fee, valued at each daily close (00:00 UTC) on Coinbase prices. Updated after every daily close.
- Holding buys the same cryptos with the same money on each portfolio's first day, and pays an exchange fee to buy.
- Returns are chained daily, so new money joining doesn't move them. A new portfolio joins at its first close.
- A portfolio whose exchange keys stop working leaves the record from that day, because nothing about it can be known after that.
- Portfolios that never traded aren't counted. Past results don't predict future ones.
